Following on from the commission by MEPC of the WANG headquarters at Niederrad SG were invited to develop proposals for a further headquarters building in the Frankfurt city centre for Hypobank. The scheme was to be for their corporate headquarters, incorporating the first commercial atriums to be built in Frankfurt, combined with a large scale residential community. This was to form part of the business quarter of Frankfurt Westend.

This second scheme provided the opportunity for SG to establish an office based in Berlin, developing a number of projects to include the five star Hyatt Hotel in the historic heart of Hamburg.
