Land Securities appointed SG to obtain detailed planning consent for this strategic site that lies opposite the City Guildhall and Christopher Wren’s church St Lawrence Jewry.

In the resulting design the principal form of the Gresham St elevation responds to the curved street and pedestrian plaza to the Western entrance of the church and incorporates Class A retail at street level, two trading floors and some 40,000m2 of adaptable office space.

The team was then novated to the contractor Sir Robert McAlpine for the construction of the project.
